About

A conference built around the conversation, not the convention centre.

A summit in the original sense: the people who do this work, in one room, for four days. Large congresses are good at breadth. Resus Summit is built for depth: one plenary room, small workshop groups and faculty who stay for the whole meeting.

01

High-yield academic content

Keynotes, rapid-fire talks, debates and parallel tracks from clinicians and educators who practise what they teach.

02

Hands-on workshops

Small-group, faculty-led procedural training in airway, point-of-care ultrasound and ECMO, on real equipment.

03

Small by design

Capped at about 100 delegates. Faculty are accessible, questions get answered and the discussion carries on between sessions.

Who attends: emergency physicians, intensivists, anaesthetists, trauma, prehospital and retrieval clinicians, ECMO teams, critical care fellows, advanced practitioners, nurses and paramedics in acute care.

Programme

Seven themes across four days.

Keynote lectures, rapid-fire short talks, workshops, debates and faculty panels. The full programme is published once dates and faculty are confirmed.

  1. 01Resuscitation science and ECPR
  2. 02Point-of-care ultrasound and echo
  3. 03Trauma and prehospital medicine
  4. 04Acute critical care and ventilation
  5. 05ECMO and mechanical circulatory support
  6. 06Retrieval and austere-environment medicine
  7. 07Systems, research and the future of resuscitation

Workshops

Practical skills, in small groups, on real equipment.

Places are limited and booked separately from conference registration. Tell us which interest you when you join the waitlist.

01 · Procedural

Advanced airway management

RSI in extremis, video laryngoscopy, surgical airway, difficult-airway decisions and the contaminated airway. Manikin and simulation based.

02 · Hands-on

Advanced POCUS and resus echo

Resuscitation echo, haemodynamic assessment, lung ultrasound, IVC and FATE/FEEL protocols, scanning on live machines. All levels.

03 · Simulation

ECMO and ECPR

Circuit priming, cannulation fundamentals, ECMO management and troubleshooting, ECPR scenarios and team dynamics.

Faculty keep full control of educational content in every workshop, including any that use equipment or support from industry partners.

Simulation, built in-house

Every scenario runs on our own simulator.

The simulation sessions run on ResusSim, the resuscitation simulator our team builds. The patient monitor simulator, ventilator, pumps, chart and consult phone all react to the same patient, so the team treats the patient, not a facilitator reading out numbers.

You will also sit in the instructor's seat. We teach how to build a scenario, run it and debrief it, so you can run the same sims at your own hospital on the laptops and tablets you already have.

Partnership enquiries

We welcome conversations with organisations working in simulation and training, point-of-care ultrasound, medical devices, retrieval and aeromedical care, and medical education. We send a partnership prospectus on request.

  • Faculty-led content. Partners do not shape the programme, speakers or workshop teaching.
  • Clearly labelled. Any industry-supported session is identified as such in the programme.
  • Education only. Partner support funds education. It never pays for delegates' travel extras or leisure.
